Keen on Clogs

Fashion· Fun

13 Feb

At the end of last year, I entered a couple giveaways onBig Mama and BooMama’s blogs. I had never heard of the line of footwear offered by KEEN before the mama’s hosted their giveaways. I cruised around the KEEN website and I entered both of the giveaways along with a gazillion other people. I had the opportunity to meet Big and Boo in August at a Beth Moore conference. (Big (Melanie), By (me), Boo(Sophie)dsc08367I was jumping up and down excited when I received an e-mail from Melanie saying I’d won the KEEN giveaway!dsc08329Before this giveaway, I had two categories of shoes: #1 Darlin’ pink slippers. 149#2 Cole Haan. Hands down favorite shoes. Ever. Wearing a pair of Cole Haan’s equated to walking on a cloud. Not that I have ever walked on a cloud. I have never paid full price for a pair of Cole Haan’s. Never. Ever. I normally purchase them when they are marked down to 60-75% off, or on very rare ocassion, find them at TJMaxx.151I could order anything on the KEEN website – anything – and it was FREE. And FREE is better than my best bargain deal on a pair of Cole Haan’s. I picked the Charleston clog. I love Charleston. I love clogs. It was an easy choice!147I am a technological dinosaur and KEEN has one of the easiest websites to navigate.103So here’s a day in the life of my Keen Charleston clogs: 128Admiring my new Charleston clogs.112Walking on the brick walkway made me think of being in Charleston.123These clogs not only look good and feel great; but are designed for adventure.124Clog’s in the grass. You’ll notice blue jeans in the next two pictures. They were actually the first pictures taken; but I had chocolate brown socks on and my youngest teen, Victoria (bless her fashion minded heart) helped me from making a fashion faux pas.073She told me that black clogs and brown socks were a no-no. Just know that normally I would have worn my brown clogs; but these Keen clogs are extremely comfortable. It was at this point that I noticed I had chosen my new KEEN Charleston clogs over my old faithful Cole Haan’s. They are extremely comfortable and they have wonderful arch support.067This is normally where shoes are left at the front door. But my Keen’s went with me past the front door.118I seriously did not need my slippers to relax in the Salesman’s recliner. And these rugged, good lookin’ clogs are lightweight too! I’m mighty keen on my KEEN’s.142-1How about you? Do you have a pair of shoes you are keen about? Or do you partcipate in bloggy giveaways?

I love your clogs. Keen has great shoes.

I (hanging my head in shame) have a pair of green (if you can imagine) crocs that I wear with socks in the winter. It’s a hideous look, but I’m more about comfort these days.

I’m a fan of Rocket Dog shoes if I’m looking for cute and casual. I love the Keens though.

love the clogs. Favorite pair of shoes… UM Flip Flops… 3.99 at Academy – any color always comfortable.

Second to that… I guess would be this snazzy pair of black patent leather heels I bought for a wedding this summer. I wear them every time I dress UP – OOH LA LA

Okay… So and yes I do participate in bloggy give-a-ways… and give them, too.

    Loveyou.
