We have returned from a trip to Louisville to visit with my dear brother and his family. We had the *best* time together. I am quite certain I say that after every visit with them; but it is true.
The teens snapped all the pictures for me this visit.
The beauty they captured in an around the city delighted my heart. I did not even see this historic downtown beauty until I browsed their pictures…
They both captured beautiful reflections of sunlight…
And seemed to remember my likes in what they photographed…
And I was able to enjoy time with my favorite art appreciative sister-in-love…
We laughed when my brother borrowed his daughter’s crayon to sign the dinner bill when the pen broke in his hand…
I love my brother…
We browsed, shopped, read, talked, laughed and enjoyed every moment together…
Audra and Victoria had a beautiful and busy subject to photograph…
My brother and nephew played chess…
We strolled downtown Louisville…
And drank in the beauty that surrounded us…
The architecture was stunning…
From the ceilings of the cathedrals…
To the stained glass reflections on the floor…
When I spend time with my family…
I’m always thankful and find myself longing for more.
Family is a blessing. I am so thankful to the LORD for you.

Lora – I was so excited to hear from you! I love these pictures – the stained glass windows are my favorite.
I want you to send me your email address so that I may send you a very nice closeup of my lampost light that I took during our snow days. Send to granjan@comsouth.net okay?
I sure miss you too. April will be here before you know it!
Yes – I want our Siesta Mama to come see me so we can sit on the porch swing and sing hymns. Will you come too?
Much love my friend –
Jan
I miss you!

Lora,
Thank you for comments on my post today. I was already a follower of your blog, but had forgotten about what you wrote in your profile about the lamp light, and that being the name of your blog. I love it! I don't know why I ever got away from being still with God in the early morning! I am so loving it again!
okay, I'll quit writing a post in your comment box!
So glad to blog with you, and hope to meet you at the next Siesta event!

Thank you all kindly for your encouragement about the teens photos. Audra has started a photography business recently and I love to see how she and her sister see the beauty of the LORD in everyday life.
Betsy, we just meet at different locations throughout the year and spend time together.
Leah, thank you for noticing my absence. This last month was so full for me in so many ways. God is at work! Praise His Name!
Oh Jan, I am there. What tickles me is that we've worshipped together and you already know I can't sing and you'd invite me anyway… Thinking about what basket to bring to pick up pecans.
Sheri, Anthony's pictures are beautiful.
Blessings to you all in the Name of Our LORD!
