It’s almost show time!!!
I was asked to play a part in Legacy Theatre’s upcoming comedy production of Mary Chase’s Harvey! When I went to the read-through, I found out I had two parts!!! This has happened before. In my first play with Legacy, Anne of Green Gables, my one part turned into three small parts! It was so much fun and was a great re-introduction to theatre for me. I grew up enjoying speech and drama in high school and college. The second production I did with Legacy, A Candle in the Window, gave me a lead role and I had many lines to memorize. Legacy is a great company, and I am so excited to be a part of the cast of Harvey!
This last week, I located some props for my characters, who are quite colorful! I am still on the lookout for the main outfits for the costumes; but I’ve found some great accessories for both of my characters.
I am getting so excited about my characters! As I’m tucking the lines in my memory, the characters are coming to life. I am Mrs. Chauvenet – a wealthy Western society woman, and Mrs. Chumley – the doctor’s wife.
I’ve been diligently working on memorizing lines and practices are gearing up. You could say that some are getting carried away at practice…
If you would like to find out more information about the production or purchase tickets for any of the performances, check out the Legacy Theatre website. They also have a section of photos and information about previous performances! Hope to see many of you on opening night!

Hey sweet friend! I've gotten roped back into it by my friend and theatre director, Peggy. It was enjoyable to me in high school and college; but seems to have been resurrected very timely at this empty nest stage. It would be fun if you could come to one of the performances!
