I grew up enjoying cabbage from our garden and this recipe is a keeper! Talk about a quick and delicious dinner that is good for you, this is it! The benefits of cabbage are amazing. Are you all eating your cabbage? It is so good, and good for you.
The recipe also calls for smoked sausage, and since I have taken a break from pork products, I used the chicken breakfast sausage from Aldi’s. Since making this recipe with the chicken sausage, I have purchased it to use in other recipes. So, have I told you that Aldi is my favorite grocery store in town? It is. Have you been there? I could do an ad for them. I will try not to get sidetracked on Aldi though.
The Cabb and Saus Skillet is found on page 58 of the Trim Healthy Mama cookbook. It is a satisfying, family serve meal. It is so easy to make and very tasty!
The Salesman ate it without complaint. He did not make any comment about it though. He may have been very busy working. Not sure that is a thumbs up endorsement.
