This stately and beautiful church was built in 1847 with local bricks and ballast from ships arriving to the port in Charleston, South Carolina. I wonder if the architects and builders ever imagined that 171 years after completion, that the architecture and their work would be appreciated? I find that in appreciating architecture, I enjoy a combination of elements in a building, such as: brick, wood and metal.
The pictures I took inside, do not due justice to the hanging lamp lights..
I found the shape and form was really lovely, methodically placed in the sanctuary…
So much beauty all around…
Look up!
And have a wonder filled and wonderful weekend.
