Trim Healthy Mama Bust-A-Myth Banana Cake Review

Have you been avoiding bananas because they are high in carbohydrates? After The Salesman’s diabetes diagnosis, I did some research and found out they were high in carbohydrates, sugar, etc., and decided to avoid buying them for his sake.  Well, not anymore, Mamas!  The Bust-A-Myth Banana Cake will have you incorporating bananas back into your diet in a way that won’t spike blood sugar.
Not only is this recipe healthy, and easy-peasy to make, it is moist and delicious.  The serving sizes are generous at six servings for a 9×13 pan.  Think of that, one-sixth of a 9×13 pan, all for you.  I think it is a very generous size serving, indeed.  Pictured below is a small piece I ate after a meal, I’m guessing the piece is about a fourth of a regular size piece.

Yum.

Here are all the details, so you can be a myth buster, too:

Cookbook:  Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook
Chapter:  Family Cakes
Recipe:  Bust-A-Myth Banana Cake
Serving:  Family Serve
Fuel: E – Energizing

I will also add that I keep the Trim Healthy Mama Bust-A-Myth Banana cake in the refrigerator. It is a great breakfast option, or dessert.  Either way, you can eat it plain or with yogurt or berries.  It is a great on-the-go option for me.  I usually slice the cake into 6 servings and then if I am running out the door to a meeting, I can put a piece on a napkin, and go. The recipe lists banana extract as an option; but, I did not have that on hand, so my recipe is the option with the vanilla extract.

This is a thumbs up recipe from me, and a “it’s ok” from The Salesman.  Have you tried this recipe already? If so, let me know.  If not, try it!  It is a good alternative to sugar-laden banana bread.

Bust-A-Myth!

Enjoy!
