To be held by a mother is a beautiful, beauty filled feeling
But when she is gone, footing can become unsure at times, and leave us reeling.
However, I am filled beyond my feelings
My Future, my Hope, is firm, not reeling.
Because I believe she is more alive today than she ever had been
There is a Hope that staves off sadness, and rises deep within.
And I sing:
How great my mother’s love for me
How vast beyond my sadness
That she lives eternally
Fills my void with gladness
How great my mother’s love for me
How vast beyond my sadness
That she lives beyond the grave
Sorrow and sadness eternity staves
We are all but a fleeting shadow here
Time is precious, and I hold the memories dear
But I am held, and will be held again
The grave is not final, death does not win
Hallelujah!
Thank You Father for a wonderful mother.

My beautiful mother holding a very wee me.

Believing that sorrow and grief should not be held in
Because when we do, the enemy wins.
Bringing every hurt to The Light
For He alone, sets our feelings aright.
There is rest, even joy, and peace
In grief.
