After a long hiatus, coming back to the blog with this specific post feels very fitting; there aren’t many photos that I have that remind me of just how much I am my mother’s daughter quite as much as this one does.
Somewhere in the last ten years, Mom and I have switched roles and instead of me constantly taking photos of everything, that’s become Mom’s “thing”, and especially (as you all have seen) when it comes to light fixtures. I’m not normally one to notice the details of or appreciate such things, but recently I was out with a friend and visiting The Westin here in Nashville for the first time and couldn’t help taking this picture.
I hope that your Friday is treating you well and that you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Mom would normally say, “Look up, beauty is all around”, but sometimes, all you have to do is look ahead. 🙂
