Happy weekend! I hope you have a wonder filled and wonderful weekend.
Five months ago, I found this absolutely gorgeous alabaster lamp while on a quick trip into the thrift store. I shared about it in a post that probably has the longest run-on sentence in the world. Well, it’s time for a lamp update. I took the lamp to Callaway’s Lamp & Shade for some repair work back in September and got a call last week that the lamp was ready for pick up. It usually doesn’t take so long; but the repair man had been sick.
I buckled her in the back seat like I was a proud parent and she was a child of mine. I had the brittle cord replaced with a gold flat rayon cord, had a push through socket installed in place of the switch, and a new flat plug in place of the old plug. My weekend plans include placing this beauty in her new home and putting the perfect shade on her like a crown. I think I know exactly where I want to place the lamp; but we shall see. Hopefully next week, I can give a final report and picture.
I am so thankful for the pace of weekends. Whether you are buckled up and on the go, or taking advantage of a good book and time to relax at home, I wish you a wonderful weekend.
I normally say “Look up, my friends!” But today, maybe you just need to look to the left, or the right. Beauty could be buckled right next to you.
