Trim Healthy Mama Dreamy Chicken Lazone Review

Trim Healthy Mama

13 Jan
Trim Healthy Mamas, if you have not made the Dreamy Chicken Lazone yet, go make it!  And don’t be like me and only make a half recipe the first day, and then *have to* make it again the next day!  I know why they put “Dreamy” in the title, this dish is the stuff from which dreams are made! Yes, it is seriously delicious and super easy to prepare.

It is my new favorite!

Here are all the recipe details:

Cookbook: Trim Healthy Table
Chapter: All-in-One Meals
Page: 50
Recipe: Dreamy Chicken Lazone
Serving:  Family Serve – Feeds 6 to 8 (Halve if your family is smaller, or make full and freeze half)
Fuel: S – Satisfying
For NSI – Sub Xantham Gum for the Gluccie
As far as ease to prepare, it just doesn’t get any easier than this All-in-One recipe.  Why have I not made this dish before? It is four easy steps and you will probably have all the ingredients on hand.  The Dreamy Chicken Lazone goes together in a snap.

If you are new to THM, this would be a great recipe to make. Or if you have followed this way of eating for awhile, and are just learning about this delicious recipe, like me, make this one Mamas!

Young children could certainly help with gathering ingredients and mixing the spices together.  Speaking of children and mixing spices, when Audra and Victoria Leigh were younger (grade school), they loved to help prepare meals, so I let them be in charge of making a recipe each week.  If Audra prepared a meal, Victoria would taste test it for her, and vice versa.  I will never forget the evening that 1/4 cup black pepper got added to the tortellini recipe instead of the 1/8 teaspoon of pepper the recipe called for!!!  Uh oh.  There was a loud wail when one sister taste-tested the very hot sauce.  The un-named child was able to rinse the tortellini and re-do the sauce and save the meal.  Good memories can be made in the kitchen!

Back to the THM kitchen and Dreamy Chicken Lazone – look at the dreamy creamy sauce! It makes a great gravy for vegetables.  I plated riced cauliflower and put a couple tenders atop and then spooned the sauce over for me…dreamy!  I served The Salesman the same, along with steamed broccoli and squash troodles.

Enjoy!
