Happy New Year, Mamas!!! I hope your new year is off to a wonderful start.
It has been busy in my Trim Healthy Mama kitchen. The Salesman has been sick, and that combined with the rain we’ve had this last week, has provided the perfect environment for staying in and trying new recipes. I’ve been busy making nourishing and comfort foods this last week.
One rainy day, I decided to make Trim Healthy Mama Sprouted Bread. It was a delicious decision, Mamas! You will find the recipe details here:

I normally buy Ezekiel bread at the grocery store, so this recipe was of interest to me to see if I could make something similar at home.
As far as bread making goes, this was a relatively easy recipe. The recipe gave three options for flour: kamut, spelt or whole wheat. I used whole wheat because it was what I had on hand. The recipe also gave the option for ghee or butter. I used butter because it was easier to measure. The directions were precise and accurate for every step in the bread making process. It detailed how long to knead the flour in a food processor, in a stand mixer, or by hand.
Details were also given for making rolls instead of loaves and helpful information was given on the different types of flour and the rise factor. This was a well written recipe. My loaves were done within the time range given for baking and I did not need to cover them with foil. The loaves were soft and had a nice texture. The next time I make this, I am going to make one large loaf verses the two smaller loaves.
And just saying, have some butter on hand to slather on a hot slice of the Soft Sprouted Bread when you pull a loaf from the oven. Yes, it would be a crossover then; but, it is so good!
Enjoy!
