Well, the LORD went over the top with my treasure hunt to find beauty in every face and place this week. Oh, do you see those darlin’ faces – Yes that is Beth Moore and Melissa Moore, and yours truly, doing a Zoom call this week! Is GOD not over the top, you all?!? On Tuesday, I experienced a powerful Zoom prayer time with a these special friends and I still have tears in my eyes with thanksgiving to The LORD. Prayer changes things. Prayer encourages. Prayer knows no distance. These friends of mine are powerful women of prayer and I am so blessed and encouraged after our time together.
You all know how much I have been missing my friends. I have said it a time, or two, or twenty here, it has been tough for *Social Lora* to be not so social during this season. But sometimes the missing goes deeper than the here and now, and I miss my mom, and I miss family and friends that are far away. I want to tell you the reason I still have tears flowing down my face on Friday, *Social Lora’s* heart was loved on by my friends. There is no substitute for feeling loved. So this week, I am finding beauty in the words and expressions of my friends Beth and Melissa. Their endearing words were honey to my soul and spirit. Everyone wants to feel loved and encounter a sense of belonging. Don’t you? I want to feel loved. I want to feel like I belong somewhere in this mixed up world. Beth and Melissa are beautiful to me. Yes, they are beautiful to the eye; but, more importantly,
Their beauty goes beyond the outward shell
And, I just have to tell:
Beth and Melissa are beautiful in their hearts
Because, love and esteem they did impart!
Across the many miles,
They left me encouraged, and with happy tears, and continued smiles…
Their friendly words, their tender looks, their endearing grins,
Gave my spirit a boost to press on and the prize, to win.
It was, and is, wonderful to just be with –
Nothing formal or fancy or stiff,
It was wonderful, just to be with.
I have the best friends. And, if you are here reading, you are my friend, and we are in this journey together. I want you to know that you are loved. I am happy that you are here reading today. I am happy that we are on this journey together of just walking each other home. I hope you are encouraged, no matter where you are today, God is with us and for us. I pray that you too, will hear words that lift your heart up and wash away cares and sorrows. I want us all to focus on the bright hope we have for tomorrow. I want to encourage you to continue to look for beauty in every face and place. I would love to hear if you have found someone, or something, that is beautiful to you this week. I believe there is so much beauty all around us. Let’s find beauty in every face and place.
Have a wonderful weekend!
