Happy Friday, friends!
I am so excited for this Scripture Memory Team to gather again! And this week, we are on our 5th verse! During this season at home, I have had my index cards with my verses on them in my kitchen propped up near my kitchen desk. Now that I am going out and about a bit more, I am going to punch holes in the left hand corner of the cards and put them on a metal ring clip so that I can take them with me in my coming and going. I hope that you are finding encouragement and strength from the Scripture you are memorizing. Each time my eyes would land on my verse card these last two weeks, I would personalize it saying, “Be anxious for nothing, Lora; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” I loved personalizing this verse. I needed it to be personal to me. I needed the reminder to be anxious for nothing. In fact, I’d like to eliminate the word, and work, of being anxious in my life. My hope rests in this verse – it gives me the way to do that – by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, I am going to let my requests be made known to God. I get great encouragement from the Word.
I am going to continue memorizing the passage in Philippians 4. This week I am on verse 7:
Lora, Morristown,TN, Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” NKJV
I selected the NKJV for this weeks verse because the wording means so much to me! The words: surpasses, understanding, guard your hearts and minds were all meaningful to me.
What verse are you going to memorize this week? Please post in the comments using the same format that I’ve used above. And join in memorizing Philippians 4:7 with me if you don’t have a verse! Or consider memorizing:
“God is magnificent; He can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to His greatness. Generation after generation stands in awe…” Psalm 145:3,4 The Message
I am looking forward to reading your verses! May the love and goodness of GOD bless you as you continue to memorize His Word.
