This week on my walk to take the trash out, I found this stalk of wheat in the front yard and thought it was beautiful. I put down my trash bag and marveled at the beauty of the single stalk and wondered how it ended up in our yard. As I looked at the stalk, it made me think of John 12:24:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.”
Beauty in dying. Yes, there is beauty in dying. The death is not the end; but the genesis for a harvest. A small dead seed can bear much fruit.
So when we feel dead and defeated,
Alone and depleted
It is not the end.
New life grows roots, and eventually upward, a stem will shoot.
Keep reaching for the Son,
When you feel undone
Keep reaching for the Son.
Just because you’ve been buried
GOD is with you in the darkness, so don’t be harried
Because The Heavenly Father has you – you are being preserved and carried.
You will see the light of a new day.
GOD will water and nourish you along the way.
Through what seems like death by great sacrifice
He will bring about abundant life.
I pray that you will see much fruit from what may look lifeless in your hand
Hold on friends, GOD has glorious, eternal plans.
Hallelujah!
Have a wonder filled weekend! There is truly beauty all around us.
