Finding Beauty in Every Face & Place – A Lisa Kind of Friend

A Beautiful Life

18 Sep

I know I say it all the time because it is true:

I have the best friends ever!

My friends never cease to encourage and bless me. As The Salesman and I talked about the day ahead of us, I shared that Lisa was preparing and delivering lunch today.   He asked, “Which Lisa?” After I answered him, I stopped and thought what a good question that was because I have been blessed with several Lisa friends.  As one Lisa bent low today and slid a dish she’d prepared into the oven, I realized that all my Lisa friends have a common thread:

My Lisa friends have servant hearts.

Yes, as I think about my Lisa friends, they serve others well.  According to The Kingdom, they are the greatest.  Today, one Lisa friend prepared, delivered, served, and shared a delicious meal.  I think the character traits my Lisa friends have are beautiful to me.  I think you will agree with me:

One always asks how I am doing and how my family members are doing

One is always like liquid sunshine with encouraging words

One is always available to run errands or help meet needs

One serves others with kindness and compassion

One uses her hands to physically bless others

As one Lisa friend and I sat and visited, I thanked the Lord for the blessing of friends that are like Him.

Yes, I have the best friends.

Do you have friends that are a blessing to you?  I hope so!  Friends are gifts.  I want to be a good friend.  Please share a beautiful character trait that you appreciate about a friend of yours.

I hope you see beauty in the faces, and actions, of your friends.
