I have always loved celebrating people and holidays. It’s a tradition passed down from my mama that both helps me remember the good times I have had and to press ahead to make new memories!
Spur of the moment, I planned to celebrate the new year with a few friends. We ate and laughed and acted silly and then turned worship music on and prayed for one another. It ended so well.
I’ve been in a goal setting workshop this last week and though most of my goals are serious *things* I desire to accomplish, I also want to have fun in 2021.
The thought for this get together started when I saw Casey Weigand make a New Year’s drink glass festive by dipping it in Marshmallow Creme and then rolling it in sprinkles around the rim.
I thought, “I’d like to do what she did.”
Then I saw a local group of friends doing the same thing that I’d seen Casey do and I thought: “They are doing the thing that I thought about doing!”
I could either think about doing it too, or I could do it. I decided to be a doer. So, I contacted my local friend and she GAVE me the fun props that I placed in my mama’s red goblets.
I made my New Year’s glasses Trim Healthy Mama by using Greek Yogurt and Super Sweet for the rims – it looked so festive and it was tasty to even drink water from them!
Planning this celebration fanned the celebration flame in me. God wired me this way, that I love to celebrate people and occasions. It truly makes me happy to see other people smile.
I’m adding party planner to my business card.
Here’s to 2021 including fun and laughter and lighthearted time with friends!
