It’s the 15th of the month and time for our second Scripture for our Scripture Memory Team of 2021! WooHoo! I am so excited!
Before I share my new verse, I am going to type my first verse from memory:
“Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
I did it! I may have recited it yesterday to a friend who asked about the temporary verse tattoo I have on my hand and then, I recited it to her again today! Thanks Ashley for being a good friend and for listening to my verse…twice!
Part of walking this verse out was starting the hydration challenge on Facebook where I’ve challenged my friends to drink half your body weight in ounces daily. What better way than to live out the verse I’m learning than to encourage others?! It’s been fun to cheer others on. I enjoy helping and encouraging others. So, in line with the challenge, I started doing a segment in my Instagram stories entitled Water in the Word. In the early morning, I’m sitting with my copy of The Word and just moving through it and highlighting Scriptures that talk about water. Nothing hydrates your physical body like water, and nothing hydrates your spirit like the life-giving water of The Word. So, is it any surprise that my Scripture selection for today is a water Scripture?
Here is my entry for the second verse:
Lora Osburn, Morristown, TN – “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” John 7:38 ESV
Isn’t that just beautiful!?! Every believer can house the Holy Spirit and be a source of life! Flowing rivers…I want that!
Join in memorizing. There is no better time than now to start. Pick a verse that encourages you where you are, or join in memorizing John 7:38.
I sure do love you.
