Onward, Upward, Inward, Outward

A Word

24 Feb

There were several reasons I decided to purchase a new utensil holder for my kitchen counter top – first, I was trying to hide an outlet! Yesterday as I was taking the utensils out of the old crock and putting them into the new head, I decided I wasn’t going to fill the new head with anything that wasn’t useful.

And I thought, there’s a lesson to learn from this in real life.

So, here in the early morning hours, I sit by the fire and the Lord and I formulate a little plan to work that out in my own life because anything I type here is directed at me.  I’ve not got someone else in mind because all fingers point to me when I feel the Lord speak to my heart in my daily routines.

As I decided what to put in my new utensil head holder, there are some old *things* that need to be left out.  Does anyone else relate?  This is what I’m thinking:  the thoughts we fill our minds with are so important.  I need to be filling my head with Truth.  How do we do that?  Well, here is my plan for the month of March:

On the first I am going to memorize Scripture.  It is not too late to join the Scripture Memory Team here – it is free and everyone is welcome!  There is power in memorizing the Word of God.

There is also power in speaking the Word.  Daily, I speak out Biblical affirmations from A-Z and I am going to share those alphabet affirmations in my stories next month.  We will walk through the Word and the alphabet together.

I would love to have you join me as I endeavor to march Onward and Upward, putting Truth In my heart that will change what comes Out.
