Oops, I did it again.

Holidays

8 Nov

Brittney spears is playing on the loop of my mind because I have early decorated most of the house for Christmas again this year!

Oops; but, not really!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always decorated for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, until 2020.

As The Salesman turned on the gas fireplace today, he asked me if I was going to put up a white tree or a real tree this year.

I hadn’t decided because I enjoy a fresh tree; but, the convenience of an artificial one is all too nice.

I remember when one of our children incredulously asked me if I put out all the Christmas decorations by myself.  Yes, I usually did and have always enjoyed decorating for every holiday.

Back to this afternoon – the Salesman mentioned a tree I liked at Cracker Barrel – and part of me wanted to grab my own Clark Griswold and go tie that flocked tree on the top of my car; but. I was already in my Cuddle Duds. Believe-you-me, I am penciling in Cracker Barrel on my weekly menu plan though.

My mama had a flocked tree when we were growing up and this Cracker Barrel tree reminded me of my childhood.

He told me that he liked the smaller trees I’d already put out around the house.  I had decorated the entryway last month because of the holiday Launch with Young Living and then it expanded this weekend to small trees in the kitchen, dining room, well, almost every room in the house.  He said he felt more in the Christmas Spirit already this year.

Yes, this was coming from the man who does all of his holiday shopping on December 24th.

What was that movie where the villains heart grew?!?

When do you decorate for Christmas?
