When we got to Jeremiah 3:12, our Sunday School teacher said, “the Lord has a long nose” and I wrote his words in the margin of my Bible as I felt I could relate with my distinct Carroll nose. I know that he meant long suffering and slow to anger. I am so thankful the Lord will not be angry forever:
“Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say, ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the LORD; ‘I will not look at you in anger. For I am gracious,’ declares the LORD; ‘I will not be angry forever.”
