The most wonderful *thing* happened today at the end of chapel when I asked for anyone who wanted to join in the group picture. As is the norm, many students gathered to participate; but there were several students seated in the back of the room who stayed in their chairs. One by one those grouped together called out their names to come join the group photo. They’d call their name and then encourage them to come and then cheer when they got up! And one by one – some with hesitation, they would come and join. It was beautiful.
Then after we had dispersed from picture taking and were saying goodbyes, one of the young men, Josh, went and got Garrett, the last young man still sitting alone to come for a picture. Oh Garrett’s smile was the brightest of the bunch. I already had my coat on and my laptop in hand to head upstairs; but I would have missed the encore of His kingdom had I gone on. This is the tangible love of Jesus expressed, walked out, reaching out and including everyone. The love that is *Going back for the one*. I may go to share with them at Chapel; but I can tell you this – I leave being schooled and blessed
