Scripture Memory Team – Verse 7

Scripture Memory Team

1 Jul

Happy July!  We have made it to July!  Is anyone else as excited as I am?  I love celebrating the 4th of July; but, to not count any chickens before they hatch, let’s celebrate today!  It’s Scripture Memory Team Day!

Hooray!

I am so thankful that we have the freedom to openly have, and learn, the Word of God!  We are so blessed to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.  I pray that you, and your family, have a wonderful holiday weekend!

This months verse is once again, right on target for me.

“Return to your rest,

my soul,

for the LORD has been good to you.”

Psalm 116:7

It wasn’t to long ago that I wrote a post about how it was Work for me to Rest.

Sometimes it’s just easier to get all aflutter about ______________.  You could insert whatever you’d like into the blank.

She said _____.

She didn’t say _____.

They did _____.

They didn’t _____.

When *things* don’t go our way, sometimes the natural instinct is to work to make them go our way. Am I just speaking to myself? Or do you know all to well what I mean? Any other strivers out there?

In this past year, I have learned the value of taking everything that comes from the LORD as a blessing.

Every word said.

Every word not said.

Every thing they did.

Every thing they didn’t do.

You know, every word, every *thing*, it all has been sifted through GOD’s loving hands anyway.

So I am bossing my thoughts and telling them in my strongest, loudest voice:

“Get back in the hammock, my soul and chill out!  The LORD who created you and called you by name, has you, just like He’s always had you.”

Hallelujah!

Let’s memorize TRUTH together!

All my love,

Lora Lovin Osburn
