When I arrived in China, I settled in a hotel in Beijing while Victoria Leigh was working. It was thrilling to see the sights and sounds of this new-to-me, vast land. There was beauty to be seen all around in the rich culture and artwork.
I enjoyed lovely lamp lights being reflected in the window as I had dinner and looked out, waiting for Victoria to finish teaching and arrive. I remember thinking:
Tick-tock,
Come on clock!
I was so excited to see my China Doll!

Vegetables with Egg, otherwise known as “Grandma Food!”
