I can say that because for the next couple of weeks, we are going to have a very special guest posting on By The Lamp Light! And if you have been hanging out here By The Lamp Light for a while, she is no stranger – but is my beloved first born daughter, Audra Elizabeth!
(The crowd goes wild!!!)
Yay! Yes, I knew you would be as excited as I am. It has been way too long since she has shared her lovely self and gifted writing with us, but she is going to start off the first few weeks of November for me!!! I am so thrilled that she will be sharing here. My mama’s heart is so glad. I am going to be taking some time for fun. Yes, scheduled fun! I am so excited about all the wonderful people and events ahead of me. Last year at this very time, I was recovering from surgery where I had a very large tumor removed. And this year, the furthest thing from my mind is that surgery. I was reminded of it lately, though, and I am going to share a funny on Audra, who has the best memory. Yes, I remembered that last year during this season I had a tumor removed, but I really hadn’t thought of the exact day. Well, my beloved firstborn (who probably also remembers the time of the surgery) sent me a text on the exact day and said:
“Happy one year without a baby sized tumor haha”
She is so funny, and her text made me laugh. The tumor had grown to make me look like I was six months pregnant, so her text was even funnier to me – well, funny on this side of the surgery. It would not have been funny at this time last year.
On the other side of surgeries, or hurts, pain and heartache can be laughter.
I am choosing to laugh with her. Laughter is good medicine. I love her dearly, and I am looking forward to reading what she has to share here; the serious and the funny. Audra helps me weekly behind the scenes of the blog, and it is going to be a wonderful season to have here on the posting side again. Wouldn’t it be nice if her writing became a staple around here?! Hint, hint.
Did you know that some of my most loved and commented on posts were published by Audra Elizabeth? Well, now you know. She has also written a book! Did you all know that? I am just a wealth of information today, aren’t I? Insert a proud mama emoji here!
You readers are the best and always give great feedback and comments, so please get ready to give a warm welcome to Audra Elizabeth.
In anticipation of Audra blogging here, I’m linking a post she published ten years ago:
Letting God Heal Your Hurt – she wrote this devotional as a thirteen year old. Seriously, what wisdom she had at thirteen. Always wise beyond her years and ministers to my heart even today. I pray that it will bless you again, too.
Happy end of the month and here’s to a great beginning of a new month!
I am so thankful for each one of you!
