Trim Healthy Mama Cajun Cream Chicken Review

In the American kitchen· The Salesman· Trim Healthy Mama

3 Jun
I decided to spice things up in the kitchen this week with the Trim Healthy Mama Cajun Cream Chicken. This is one of the easiest recipes to prepare with only four ingredients.  However,  I discovered I was out of one staple in my pantry that I had planned to use for the recipe: Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning. It was too late to run to the market to grab another shaker of the spicy pre-made seasoning, so I gathered onion and garlic powder, oregano, basil, thyme, pepper, cayenne, paprika and salt and mixed together my own original blend!
Not bragging; but The Salesman said this was one of his favorite meals!  Move over Tony!
And it is nice and rich, serves a very generous portion, with enough for leftovers.  Here are all the recipe details, so you can make this super easy, Salesman approved dinner:

Cookbook:  Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook
Chapter:  One Pot Meals
Recipe:  Cajun Cream Chicken
Serving:  Family Serve – Feeds 6-8
Fuel: S – satisfying

Round one for The Salesman was served shredded, over brown rice, with a side of steamed summer squash.  A definite thumbs up for The Salesman.

I also roasted a large spaghetti squash, because, well, why have just one yellow vegetable?  Have you researched the health benefits of this nutritional power packed vegetable?  Go read up all the benefits of yellow vegetables.  Well, either way, it is delicious.

Round two for The Salesman included the spaghetti squash…

And the chicken tenders…

The Salesman preferred the rice option best.

I had mine with both yellow vegetables and then when I had it for leftovers, I served it over mixed greens…yum!  Possibilities for serving it over include:

Steamed broccoli
Cauliflower rice
Zucchini noodles
Low carb pasta

Or, what about a wrap or tortilla with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese?

Oh, the spicy possibilities!

Make this one mamas and your house will smell wonderful as it cooks on low all day in your crockpot.  Spicy, creamy, and delicious!

Enjoy!
