Transitions.
Listen, I am not the biggest fan of transitions. I mean who truly enjoys change? Do you? I admit I am a creature of habit; but we have some major transitions going on in our family with our oldest daughter, Audra Elizabeth.
Our eldest darlin’ is going to be twenty five this month! Where have the years gone? They have surely gone quickly by. Anyway, back to her story. The last four months have brought major changes to her life that she had not planned and we are loving and supporting her in all the ways that we possibly can. As parents we rejoice when our children rejoice, and we weep when they weep.
I will just say, we have done some weeping, my friends.
We are not without hope. Hallelujah.
I don’t mean to be vague; but I haven’t asked her about sharing her story here; so, I’ll just say we are walking through a season of sorrow with her. If you think of her, please pray. We will get through this, I am confident of that. We have been busy with her, and on the go many days – it is our joy and delight! I am also finding that as a young lady, she has a lot more energy than I do! Oh, we are having some fun, too!
As she faces uncertainty in the days ahead, we know that she is:
Dearly loved
Chosen
Blessed
Never alone
Highly favored
One of the first verses I ever put to memory was Romans 8:28, and I’ve thought of it often over the last few months.
Standing confident on HIS Word. Thank you all for remembering Audra, and our family, in your prayers.
Bless you.
