Happy Friday, friends! I hope you are doing well in these quiet days after Christmas and before the new year begins.
There were so many beautiful lights at the Martha Washington Inn and Spa. The first I want to highlight is in one of the main parlors. This is probably one of my favorite pictures from our visit. The artwork over the mantel was of a mother and baby and young children. It made me think of Mary and baby Jesus… The piano made me think of my pianist, Audra Elizabeth. While we were visiting, some guests played the piano and others sang along. The beauty of this crystal chandelier can be best seen with out the electricity on. I thought it was lovely with the natural light in the room.
I like the natural light best…
This Australian crystal chandelier is from the ballroom. They were dotted along the ceiling and were truly a beautiful crown for the room. Once again, the detail can be better seem in the natural light.
This sconce is gorgeous! Look at the rope detail! And the bulbs – oh my! Perfection!
The natural light shining through the windows of the mansion built in 1832, was just beautiful to me.
My view of light from our Christmas morning breakfast…
Though not focused, this picture is beautiful to me. Sunlight. Drapes. A candle in the window. Upholstered chair. Artwork on the wall.
Looking out and up.
Look up!
Happy weekend!
