Quick Fruit Crisp

Friends· Going· In the American kitchen

21 Sep

I am at the Outer Banks this week with my girlfriends and don’t have access to my plethora of recipes at home; but wanted to share this recipe with The Loft today.  It would be a good dessert to make at the seashore!

Quick Fruit Crisp
Apple, cherry, blueberry, blackberry, or peach pie flling
1 cup yellow or white cake mix
1/2 stick butter, melted

Pour pie filling into an 8 inch pie plate.
Sprinkle 1 cup cake mix over pie filling.
Pour melted butter over cake mix.
Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees in oven.
Spoon into serving dishes and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing, Lora. I love fruit crisps. Interesting that yours only calls for 1 cup of cake mix. That makes my frugal soul happy – one cake mix could make 2 desserts!

Think I will try this later for my husband. Thanks. Oh by the way I'm going to refresh my site and see if that fixes the capcha. Please let me know.

I love a good fruit crisp! The OBX is beautiful this time of year! I used to live about 2 hours away and didn't visit enough! Enjoy!

Hope you enjoy, Christine. And thank you. I had several comments typed out and then can't post them.

I've been to many places close by; but this is my first visit to OBX and it is beautiful!
