Not everyone in the garden dressed for the occasion. But one variety participated in the holiday.

Just a few months back, these coneflowers were in beautiful bloom.

And today, they eerily resemble,

a hat perch for one who rides a broom!

    Well, look at that. I'm not sure I've ever seen a coneflower in that shape. I think my mom's coneflowers get chopped down before they get to that stage. How interesting!! Thanks for sharing these pics. Hope you are doing well.
