Traditions and A Trip

Holidays· My Dear Family· On the Road Again· The Whole Earth is Full of His Glory

13 Apr

One of my favorite traditions is singing before a holiday meal. This year The Salesman led us in He Lives!079From where I was seated, I had a lovely view of the Easter Tree which we incorporated into our traditions last year.057-2These red and white tulips have bloomed every year since we planted them just in time for our Passover or Easter celebration.083We’re heading to the Nashville area to with my dear brother and his family and we are so excited to visit with them and hug their necks and enjoy the sights. I am also looking forward to just spending time together. The only *thing* we have scheduled is a visit to Vanderbilt University with Audra. And I have Joanne’s new book, Misplacing God, tucked in my bag for the car.

I am so glad that the first iris in the garden has decided to bloom before our departure.009-2Here are a couple snapshots from the glorious Proof of Life production at our church Easter Sunday. Victoria Leigh as the narrator:dsc06390Audra as Gina, the supermom, in the drama.dsc06282I need to tuck my camera manual in my bag, so hopefully I can improve my picture taking skills from a distance.

Blessings to you all. See you next week!

Wow those tulips are gorgeous! I like the idea of an Easter tree too, that’s not something I’ve seen done before. 🙂

Wish I could have been there for all of it…especially sitting around your table singing and gazing at your Easter tree. What fun traditions and special worship your family must share.

I was thinking the same thing concerning my new camera: I need to continue to read the manual! Your pictures are amazing without the manual.
