I’m so thankful for Memory Monday and the accountability this dear group holds. If it weren’t for you, I feel certain that I would not have been writing and reviewing these 8 verses this week. Thank you for encouraging me! From memory:
Psalm 119:11 Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You. Psalm 119:11
Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God: I will gird you, though you have not known Me. Isaiah 45:5
Matthew 1:21 She will bear a Son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21
Isaiah 53:6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. Isaiah 53:6
Psalm 119:105 Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
John 8:12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in the darkness; but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12
Exodus 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exodus 20:8
Yeah! Review has really helped me this last week! I’m going to continue to review John 3:16 and John 8:12 because they were the most difficult for me to get the shall and will mixed up.
To tuck in my heart next week:
Matthew 22:37-39
“And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Last Monday when I checked in, I mentioned that my Siesta friend, Nesha, was coming to visit. I was so excited to see her and meet her family on New Year’s Eve. I knew I was completely ready for her visit when I started taking pictures of the food. But when I realized they’d be arriving any minute, I headed outside with Lilly Belle. I wanted to see my Siesta friend the moment she drove up! Seeing Nesha took precedence over photographing all the food! So, I’ll just share the New Year’s Eve menu with you:
Spiral Sliced Ham
Garden Green Beans
Crock pot Macaroni & Cheese
Delicious Deviled Eggs
Fresh Vegetable Tray
Sourdough Bread and Butter
Bessie’s Fresh Apple Cake
The Salesman and Nesha’s husband met and had a great visit. After lunch and playing football in the back yard, it was time for hot chocolate and Monopoly. Nesha’s youngest was very much at home – he’s got a great personality and was a delightful and fun young man!I love the actions and expressions in this picture. The children had a fun time playing together. Nesha’s oldest won the game with quite a large stash of Monopoly cash! Way to go!While the men visited in the Salesman’s office, Nesha and I had a cozy and wonderful visit and planned our next get together for a Deeper Still conference in July. It was so pleasant to meet her husband and boys and get to know them as well. Here’s Nesha’s oldest, a smiling and kind hearted young man, saying good bye to Lilly Belle.Nesha gave me a beautiful Serenity plaque and it has found a lovely new home on my desk. Nesha and New Year’s Eve, what a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday.

Hi Lora, You visited recently so I wanted to come visit you. I had not bookmarked your blog at that point so I am thankful you left a comment so I could find yours. I feel calmness when I read your blog. The way that you see even the simplest of things is a testimony to you. I’ve enjoyed reading some of your posts. Congratulations on your memorization of those verses. What an accomplishment. Blessings Cathryn

Looks and sounds to me like you have a beautiful spirit. Hope to come back and get to know you better.
