With the table set the day before the luncheon, the soup tureen was waiting patiently to be filled with cheesy, creamy and steaming corn chowder.
The red goblets ready for the sweet tea,
Individual salt and pepper and scattered leaves,
Festive napkins and shiny utensils,
A small plate for crispy iron-skillet cornbread and thinly sliced ham,
Pumpkin Crisp will be served for dessert. I’m getting hungry!
I think we’ll sample the dessert tonight!
