Memorizing Scripture – it is a good thing to have God’s Word tucked in our hearts. It’s been on my heart and mind for a while to get back to memorizing the Word. And, I want to share it with you so you will keep me accountable, and maybe, you would like to join in memorizing Scripture with me? I am going to start back to memorizing Scripture twice a month, on the first of the month, and on the fifteenth.
Years ago, I joined my friend, Joanne at The Simple Wife to memorize Scripture every week. Then I memorized with Beth Moore, and her blog community, and was blessed to write this Scripture Memory Team Post about a verse I’d memorized. God is good.
On the 15th, I will launch the initiative to memorize the Word and post the verse I am going to memorize. If you participate, I’ll ask you to write out your verse in the comments along with the reference and the version. Then on the first of the month, we will do it again – I will post the verse that I am going to commit to memory and will work on memorizing it from the first through the fourteenth. Then, I will pick another verse on the fifteenth and repeat.
Memorize and repeat.
So, we will be learning two verses a month. Let’s think about what verse we will put to memory first. I am excited! I hope you will consider joining me.
