If I share a Trim Healthy Mama recipe and it is Salesman approved, you know it is good. When he ate this Fooled Ya’ Pizza for lunch yesterday, he said, “This is the best pizza you’ve made.”
There you have it, the endorsement you need to try this recipe. You know he is a fan of the Hut and the Pizza! Pizza! places here in town, so, I feel I was given the compliment of of all compliments on this pizza.
The Trim Healthy Mamas are notorious for hiding vegetables in everything…well, almost everything, and this recipe is no different. The crust is made with cauliflower, egg whites, spices and cheese. There are no special ingredients to buy, just add your favorite pizza toppings and prepare to be satisfied with this delicious; but, healthier version of pizza. It is gluten free, sugar free, won’t mess with your blood sugar, it is a win-win pizza. And I just love to share a recipe with you and here is the link with the recipe for Fooled Ya’ Pizza.
I followed the recipe exactly, right down to the step that says you can use your hands to squeeze out excess water from the steamed cauliflower. Yes, I did that because I did not want a soggy crust. And I made two pizza crusts from the recipe which was perfect so we could have a His and a Hers pizza because you know if you have been married 2 years, or almost 32 years, you are going to want different pizza toppings. It is just that way you young newlyweds who are still eating the ham and pineapple pizza that your spouse likes. Stop it, life is too short to eat that odd combination. Not that The Salesman eats that combination either; but if he had his choice it would be a Meat Lovers pizza. Or you know, meat with a side of meat, and mine would be mostly vegetables… I almost laughed out loud when he came back for seconds and almost got in my pizza – I let him know that mine had fresh tomatoes on it and he dropped the parchment paper that held my pizza like it had cooties. He does not like tomatoes, so please no one tell him that the sugar free sauce was made from tomatoes. He would be disappointed and I got the highest of all compliments and all, and I just don’t want to ruin this for him, or me, and this one day that I’m holding the award for *Best Pizza* and all. So, just to clarify: the pizza has Pizza Sauce on it and not Tomato Sauce – it can be our little secret. Because pizza sauce is made from little pizzas, right?
Here are The Salesman pizza toppings in case you want to make a *His* pizza:
Turkey Pepperoni
Ground Chicken Sausage
Lean Ground Beef
Orange, Red, and Yellow Peppers
Green Onion
Parmesan, Swiss, and Havarti cheese
And my *Hers* pizza toppings:
Cherry Tomatoes
Orange, Red, and Yellow Peppers
Green Onion
Parmesan and Havarti cheese
A little bit of turkey pepperoni and chicken sausage
I purchased all of the ingredients at Aldi, with the exception of the Havarti cheese. Our Fooled Ya’ Pizza’s were broiled with all the toppings for 7 minutes and, oh my, the pizza was delicious! Make this pizza, mamas! You will convince your pizza loving family that healthy really does taste good.

Leigh Ann says
So you make the crust out of cauliflower, bake it, let cool then add toppings?
Do you put back in over to heat up toppings? It doesn’t say, or did I not read it correctly?
Lora says
Leigh Ann,
Yes, you make the crust out of cauliflower, bake it, let it cool for a few minutes and then add the toppings! Oh my goodness, you are so right, the recipe on the THM website left out the last sentence from the cookbook! I went to page 214 in the Trim Healthy Mama cookbook and the last sentence says: Broil until the toppings are melty and crispy. Hope this helps you. It really makes a tasty pizza!
