Finding Beauty in Every Face & Place – You, Beautiful You!

A Beautiful Life

22 Jun

You are beautiful!

Yes, you! I just wanted to tell you that You are beautiful!

As I left my hair appointment, I couldn’t resist taking a picture, or trying to take a picture, of this sign that I’d never noticed before with beautiful words and my curls.

My cousin has done my hair done for as long as we have lived in Tennessee.  Deana does a wonderful job and we always have the best visits while I am in her *Hair Wizard* chair.  The term *Hair Wizard* was coined by Beth Moore, and I started using the term because I am certain we are related, I  mean we both love Jesus and big hair.  This last week at the salon, we laughed so much while I was becoming blonder that I thought I was at a comedy club.  We had the best time: me, my cousin, and her salon mates.  Laughter is good medicine and I got a full dose.  They ended up inviting me to go to the beach with them.  What a hoot. I can’t go because I have my own Pappy J (which is one of our new salon insider jokes, hashtag The Salesman).   Do you ever just feel at home with people that you know are your people?  I am at home with my cousin and her work peeps.  My cousin gave me beautiful curls, Ginger entertained non-stop, and as I walked out of the salon, Cricket told me my hair was smoking hot… Or did she say she had been smoking and said it was hot – I am just joking.

Every time I leave the salon, I feel like I am Cinderella ready for a ball. And as I left feeling lighter and brighter, I thought, this is what the world needs more of: more making other people feel beautiful, more laughter, more encouraging others, and more building each other up.

So, I want to tell you:

You are beautiful!

I want to encourage you and build you up:

You are beautiful.

Yes! You!

Beautiful you!
