Good morning, friends! We have made it to the ninth memory verse on our Scripture Memory Team!!! WooHoo! You are doing great! I am so thankful for the verse the Lord led me to for my eighth memory verse because, I needed it day one after I selected it, and on days two through fifteen, as well.
He is so good to send us the very Word that we need to hold on to while we are holding on to Him.
God knew on the first of July what verse I needed for “such a time” as The Salesman’s heart blockage. Boy, did He ever. To think that the “such a time” Word is alive and active in my life today, is just some of the best news ever. I could write some good news for the world. It would not be any original Lora words; but, age old Words that can become our words even in very trying times. Hallelujah! I tell you, the Word preaches. I promise, I will share more about our trying time when the time is right. But, I am so excited to be memorizing a verse from the section of the Bible that I have been assigned for writing for my First 5 App teaching for Proverbs 31 Ministries. So here is my verse nine:
Lora, Morristown, TN, Ephesians 1:4a:
“Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world…” Ephesians 1:4a, ESV
And yes, I am only committing to memorize the first part of it because, it has been a doozy of a week! I have to believe that the Lord is honored in my choice to commit to a phrase of this verse. He knows where I’ve been this last week and he knows the thoughts and intentions of my heart. And, I am so excited!!! I think I have said that before already? Well, I am. Besides the fact that it feels like it has been a month and a half inside the span of a week, I am still excited!!! Why? Well, I just believe the Lord. I believe the very first verse I ever remember putting to memory as a child:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NKJV
I am about to bust with excitement because the very specific things that the enemy plans for evil, The Lord can use for good. And there is a verse about that too:
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.” Genesis 50:20 NASB
Friends, I am so glad to be memorizing Scripture with you. I really do look forward to reading your verse in the comments! Join in memorizing the phrase I’ve chosen, or one of the other Scriptures listed, or come with your own. But, please come be a part of this wonderful Word based, Word filled, wonder working Word, team.
I sure do love you!
