Trim Healthy Mama ‘Mazing Marshmallows Recipe & Review

Trim Healthy Mama

7 Sep

Last week I thought I heard The Salesman say that he wanted marshmallows, only to find out after I’d made a healthy version, that he told me he was talking about a marshmallow that had a chocolate covering…

Not only do these little squares taste amazing, or ‘mazing, and satisfy your sweet tooth, they are naturally sweetened, made with healthy ingredients, and gentle on blood sugar levels.  I don’t know why I delayed in making these marshmallows for so long.  With only seven ingredients, they were quick and easy to make.

There are two option for viewing the recipe. First, you will find it here in the paper-back form:

Cookbook: Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook

Chapter:  Sweet Treats

Recipe:  ‘Mazing Marshmallows

Page:  389

Serve:  Multiple Serve

Fuel: FP – Fuel Pull with an S – Satisfying option

I used several Trim Healthy Mama products to make the ‘Mazing Marshmallows and am sharing a few reasons why I started using their products and became a Trim Healthy Mama affiliate.  If you click on the links, you can read more about the products, and order them, too:

Just Gelatin – Gelatin is a good source of protein, supports joint health, and aids in digestive function.  I use this brand because it has no additives, preservatives, no hormones, antibiotics or pesticides.

Gentle Sweet – You’ve heard me say it before – this sweetener is diabetic friendly and contains no fillers.

Vanilla Natural Burst Extract – A great choice for flavoring because it does not contain any artificial colors, artificial flavors, artificial preservatives, synthetic carriers, synthetic solvents or antioxidants.

High Mineral Salt – I choose this product because it “contains trace minerals, the natural chemical elements that help the body maintain its electrolyte balance and promotes healthy adrenal function. Environmental toxins, lack of dietary nutrients and stress all take a toll on adrenal health. Mineral Salt can help naturally promote the body’s ability to help adrenals produce the critical metabolism-supporting hormones that will help you feel energized.”

Pristine Whey Protein – And why do I choose the THM brand? It supports the immune system (something we all need right now), it boosts your metabolism, and is also a good source of protein.

The recipe is also posted online at the Trim Healthy Mama website.

I decided to make a flag out of the marshmallows and some organic produce from Aldi because I’m all festive like that!  It was fun and fits perfectly with the holiday today!

Now that you have the recipe, I know you are curious about the review…well, I agree with the title, these marshmallows are ‘mazing!  However, there was someone else here that did not give them a positive review…Even though I tried to feed him one like an Egyptian princess would feed her prince, he refused them like a baby eating peas for the first time and sealed his thumbs down rating with saying they tasted like slugs.

Well, there you have it.  One thumbs up, and one slug.

Next time, I will coat them in chocolate for him. Seriously, you should make these marshmallows!  The are ‘mazing!

Enjoy! And Happy Labor Day!
