Happy December 1st and Happy Scripture Memory Team Day! Where has this year gone? Can you even believe we are in the last month of 2020? This year has had wings. And, what a wonderful time of year it is! I’m excited about so much the Lord is doing in my life right now. I’m thankful for this team and for the Truth we are memorizing. Before I share my new verse, I want to write my last verse from memory:
Philippians 3:14
“I run straight for the divine invitation of receiving the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.”
Now, let me check it…Alrighty, it looks good! On to the 18th verse of the year from my Dwell Differently subscription:
Lora Osburn, Morristown, TN: “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8 NIV
What a perfect verse for this time of year! This verse reminds me that God is first -the Greek meaning of alpha, and, He is the last – Greek meaning of omega. He was on His throne in January and hallelujah, He is on his throne in December.
He is.
He was.
He is to come.
The Almighty.
I want to just rest in the Truth of this verse – He is in control of today, He had yesterday, and He has tomorrow. That is good news.
As I continue in the rhythm of rest, I am going to sit and dwell on the Word this month in my stories. There is so much to do this time of year – shopping, baking, and parties. Join me as we sit and meditate.
And I look forward to seeing what verse you are going to memorize in the comments. I esteem you highly in love.
